He came into being when the fictional character of that name inspired a bazillion women and girls into writing fanfic. And then things got weird. Because so many of the stories they wrote were sexual, he evolved into an Incubus. A few hundred years later, he got into trouble with the Powers That Be and they retaliated by making him flesh and exiling him into his own story.
